Babiččina Zahrada Welcomes Spring with a New Menu and Open Garden
12. 05.2025
Babiččina zahrada (Grandma's Garden) restaurant, known for its love of tradition, quality ingredients and genuine Czech cuisine, has come up with a new seasonal menu. At the same time, with the arrival of warmer days and depending on the weather, it opens its iconic flowering garden – the ideal setting for family lunches, romantic dinners and relaxing weekend gatherings.
The new menu is based on fresh spring ingredients, precise craftsmanship and a delicate connection of traditional flavours with modern lightness. For example, guests can look forward to Steak Tartare of minced beef prepared right at the table, lightly smoked Pork Loin from its own smokehouse or roasted duck liver Foie Gras with apple puree and poached pear.
The main courses include classics such as "Svíčková" sour cream sauce with roast tenderloin and homemade bread dumplings, or Beef Cheeks in red wine, as well as light spring specialities, such as Fish of the Day with pea puree and wild garlic sauce, or Tarhonya with pesto and buffalo mozzarella or Beefsteak with roast potatoes, asparagus, pancetta and hollandaise sauce.
The finale belongs to the homemade desserts: authentic ducat buns with vanilla custard, fruit curd dumplings or a delicious helping of chocolate mousse and raspberry puree.
Babiččina zahrada is ready to offer guests not only amazing food, but also an exceptional experience in the midst of Nature. This year, it has also been adorned with new flower beds and stylish garden seating to enhance the relaxing atmosphere.
Lake Neusiedl, nicknamed the “Sea of the Viennese”, lies on the border between Austria and Hungary. Its shallow waters, salt pools and reed beds form the heart of the Seewinkel nature reserve – a landscape that has rightly been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is here that the Vila Vita Pannonia resort was built. A place for perfect relaxation.
In the heart of the Austrian Alps, where mountain elegance blends with top-class hospitality, another gastronomic triumph was achieved this year. The gourmet restaurant, La Fenice in the Hotel Arlberg Lech, has been awarded a prestigious star in the 2026 Michelin Guide. This recognition places La Fenice among the culinary giants of the region.
